Offshoring is delegating business functions to a service provider that is geographically far from the where the client is based. It is similar to outsourcing but it is more specific in terms of where the service provider is located. It is mainly done because far away countries have a lower wage and the client company will be able to save a lot compared to their usual operation costs.
